The beautiful and sultry voice of Inara George and the pop nuanced musical stylings of Greg Kurstin are the components of my new favorite thing, The Bird And The Bee. A modern day Audrey Hepburn with the voice of an angel singing clever lyrics over a fiery combination of Jobim and Everything But The Girl, The Bird And The Bee are, in a word, it. Tracey Thorn, take notes please. Here’s the two tracks Keith featured over at Teaching The Indie Kids To Dance Again, gussied up slightly and re-served. Go be their fucking boyfriend over at MySpace by clicking here and try to keep cool — I think I’ve almost had heat stroke four or five times today.

Inara George is AWESOME. Saw her open for Idlewild in Philly. Looking forward to hearing these tracks. Thanks!

this is the best thing that has happened to me musically in quite some time. It’s amazing how hearing something so fresh reveals what a rut you have been in for so long. Thanks so much for the post!

Fun and fresh live. Inara totally takes you in with her voice, especially with I’m a Broken Heart. Perfect opener for Sia. Looking forward to their album coming out.
