Rumors are always swirling around The Purple One, and this one is probably the best kind: rumors of a live club appearance. This time, they’re probably much more than rumors. According to reliable sources and Prince’s official website, 3121.com, Prince will be making an impromptu live appearance at First Avenue in Minneapolis, the nightclub where Purple Rain was filmed and where, in the 1970’s and early 1980’s, you might find him performing on a regular basis.
Prince will be playing a scheduled show at the Target Center in Minneapolis on Saturday. Tickets for the post-show party at First Avenue, un-cryptically titled “Return 2 First Avenue: PRINCE LIVE”, will go on sale Saturday. The show is 18 and up and the tickets are $31.21 each. If you’re in Minneapolis and you don’t go, I don’t think I wanna talk to you so much. If you’re in Minneapolis and you do go, color me jealous as can be.
