Archive for the The Internet Has Sprung A LEAK Category
Someone at EMI is probably asking themselves right now, “What are we going to do?” That’s because their big cash cow, yet another hotly-anticipated Coldplay album entitled Viva La Vida has leaked well ahead of its June 17th release date. Undoubtedly scrambling to figure out what has created this chaos, the stockholders of EMI and their gaggle of employees probably wish to hell this hadn’t happened. As with the previous Coldplay album, sales of this record were (and still are) intended to boost EMI’s third-quarter 2008 profits sufficiently to maintain (or, as they would hope, grow) the company’s stock price.
No word on from whence the leak came or whether anyone at EMI is actually freaking out. However, the thought of dozens of stockholders simultaneously requesting a clean pair of underpants after hearing the news is equally repulsive and hilarious.
HEY! if you came here looking for a download link for the album, I can’t oblige you or encourage you. I can tell you I’ve heard the album, it’s worth waiting a couple of weeks to go and buy it. Since you’re already here, why not take a minute to browse through the other music and content of my site and download some legal mp3’s from other bands?

I like this track, I love Saddle Creek Records (don’t you?) and I really like Tokyo Police Club. Their new album, Elephant Shell will be out in April. Enjoy this (sadly really low quality rip) (resolved thanks to Side One Track One) MP3 of “In A Cave” from that forthcoming album. Tour Dates after the jump! YAY!

Well, what better way to get back off a sabbatical than to discover a new track from Gnarls Barkley has leaked?
The good folks over at Mission Freak proudly have the exclusive on this track, entitled “Run”, and I suspect it’s probably okay for them to host it. I noticed that Gnarls Barkley themselves sent out a MySpace Bulletin suggesting that you “Digg This Before It Gets Taken Down”. Could it be? I’m not saying a damn thing, but I do like this track. It’s not “Crazy Pt. 2″, so if that’s what you want then keep on driving. It’s just a great slice of fast-paced psychedelic soul.
Now, normally, I’d be suspect of anything that Rolling Stone is slobbering over but if it’s good, it’s good.
If you have trouble getting your hands on it, let me know in the comments. If I can post it, I will.
